is a sixteenth century farmhouse lovingly restored to working order in 1994 and situated in East Devon. It was part of Hackland Manor which still exists nearby.
The house is comfortable, warm and quiet, has plenty of birdlife with a big picturesque garden and orchard.
Focus at Little Hackland Retreat is respite – tranquillity – a place where you can be looked after and unwind and restore wellbeing and a sense of self.
There are three paddocks supporting cattle in the spring and summer and a tree shadowed pond, home to domestic as well as wild ducks. Swallows are here in the spring and summer, and we are surrounded by farmland – plenty of rural sounds and smells.
Regrettably Air BnB at Hackland Retreat has been suspended due to the pandemic. It is hoped that the facility will open in Spring 2023.
